Catherine of Siena

From the moment she heard Jesus say, *“Think of me always, and I will think of you always,”* she resolved that her listening and speaking would be only for Him.

She was led to decide that for three years she would speak to no one except her confessor, so that she might come to understand the value of deep prayer in her life.

What was the result? In later times, even the Pope, kings, and queens waited to hear the voice and guidance of God that came through her.

Through her life, she taught that one should never be afraid, even in the least, to show compassion and love as Jesus did.

With profound love, she regarded the Church as her mother; and because of that love, she humbly advised even the Pope in correcting the faults within the Church.

Bearing the sacred wounds of the Lord in her body, she lived out the importance of penance and prayer. Thus, her radiance as an extraordinary woman continues in the Church to this day.

Prayer :
O Holy Spirit, come into my heart;
O beautiful Love, protect me from all evil thoughts;
Warm me, and inflame me with Your dear love,
so that every pain may seem light to me.
My Father, my sweet Lord,
help me in all my actions.
O Love of Jesus, Jesus, Love.
