Mother and Son

Seeing the most bitter Passion and death of her Son, the Blessed Mother was deeply shattered. After the Resurrection, when the Lord went to see her first, He may have spent some time with her to console her. Even in His glorified state, Jesus knew that Mary needed comfort.

The Risen Christ, the source of eternal joy, first sought to console the sorrowful heart of His mother, showing that love and mercy are the very essence of the Resurrection.

Prayer

O Risen Lord,
You who, after conquering death, first consoled Your Blessed Mother,
grant us the grace to seek You in times of sorrow.

Through the intercession of Mary, our Mother,
may our hearts be calmed and strengthened by Your peace.
